NYC Nightlife culture was something I had always been drawn to. When I moved to New York in 2009, it was only a matter of months before I started working in nightlife. I became part of a diverse community that was compromised of NYC veterans and other newbies like me who had just moved here for college. Through these connections I forged fierce friendships and familial bonds. I learned about the history of queer communities in nightlife and how their influence has shaped culture. I strengthened my skills in event production and quick problem solving. My work and experience in nightlife is something that is difficult to represent in a tangible way on this website, but it has had a lasting effect on my life both personally and professionally.
